AusIDentities respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information across our website (ausidentities.com.au), our online courses, and our "Who's Who in the Zoo" mobile app. It has been prepared with reference to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

1. What We Collect

Depending on how you use our website, courses, or app, we may collect:

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Who We Share Information With

We share personal information with trusted third-party service providers who help us run our business, including:

  • Stripe and PayPal, to process payments

  • Australia Post, to deliver physical orders
  • Our website hosting and email service providers
  • Google Play Services, for users of our mobile app

These providers only access the information needed to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy obligations. Links to their privacy policies are available on their respective websites.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information.

Online payments are processed securely through Stripe and PayPal. Your complete card details are never visible to or stored by AusIDentities, all transactions are encrypted in transit, and both providers maintain their own industry-standard (PCI-DSS compliant) security measures.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in line with our obligations under the Privacy Act.

5. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to support core functionality and to understand how visitors use our site. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the website may not function correctly if you do.

6. Children's Privacy

Our courses and quizzes are designed for a range of ages, including school-aged participants, but purchases and account creation are intended to be made by adults (parents, teachers, or schools) on behalf of younger users. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without the involvement of a parent, guardian, or supervising organisation. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
